Bacardi, to us, is a name that is synonymous with a truly epic party. The brand name alone conjures images of a young, attractive crowd — dressed to the nines — mixing and mingling at a rooftop bar in some beautiful cosmopolitan city. For most liquor enthusiasts, it is a home bar staple, mixing seamlessly into a number of fun playful cocktails.
Bacardi has over twenty-five selections in its stable of rum products of varying flavors and varieties, from white to gold, raspberry to pineapple. That said, Bacardi Peach Rum is a relative recent addition to the herd, with competing craft brands in the American South releasing similarly flavored spirits to much success. Comparatively, Bacardi Peach Rum is a wallet-friendly alternative to designer peach-flavored craft spirits.
The perk to purchasing flavored liquor is that you save time and money on seeking out a variety of mixers to make a creative cocktail. While peach rum seems like a very specific type of spirit to have on hand, there are a diverse number of ways in which you can enjoy it. For example, the peach flavor lends itself nicely to this Spiked Sweet Tea recipe: simply brew a batch of your favorite iced tea, sweeten to your preference with honey, agave or simple syrup*, and add 1 ounce Bacardi Peach Rum to every 8 ounces of iced tea. This is a perfectly refreshing summer beverage, sure to keep you cool while you real on the weekend.

*Simple syrup couldn’t be more simple! Just add equal parts water and sugar (i.e. 2 cups water to 2 cups sugar), gently heat over the stove until the sugar dissolves, allow to cool and store (refrigerated) in a tightly sealed glass container for up to one month. Use to easily sweeten all your mixed drinks!
