A standard Decanter award winner, St?phane Defraine?s Entre-Deux-Mers Chateau de Fontenille Blanc 2011 Wine leads the way in presenting how fine this wine can be when prepared with fond care and awareness to detail.Semillon provides the body, Sauvignon Blanc the nerve and acidity with Muscadelle giving the lovely fragrant flavors and 15% Sauvignon Gris addition elegance.
This cepage is extremely unusual as the majority Bordeaux winemakers have renounced trying to raise Muscadelle and hardly ever use Sauvignon Gris.
An attractive luminous gold colour, fresh and fruity with light tartness. The citrus and peach flavors come storming through to provide a wine great with fish but as well very potable on its own.
